The High Cost Of A Low Income
The Institute for Public Administration at the University of Delaware yesterday held a conference titled "The High Cost Of A Low Income" to explore financial services in under-served markets.
Ted Griffith of the Wilmington News-Journal wrote about the conference recently.
Two University of Delaware professors are hoping to draw attention to what they consider a major problem: Too many consumers, especially minorities, lack access to traditional banking services. Leland Ware and Breck Robinson, professors at the university's School of Urban Affairs & Public Policy, have organized a conference on March 17 that will focus on "financial services in underserved markets."
