NACHA's First Authentication Conference - June 6-7
NACHA has announced Authentication Mandate: Compliance Issues & Revenue Opportunities for Online Banking, a conference focusing on the business opportunities resulting from financial institutions' online authentication capabilities and the recent Federal regulatory guidance on authentication in Internet banking.
The conference, co-hosted by NACHA's Internet Council, will be held on June 6-7, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia.
"The FFIEC regulatory guidance is raising the bar for financial institutions' online authentication capabilities," said Elliott C. McEntee, President and Chief Executive Officer of NACHA. "This authentication mandate, technological innovation, and the focus on enterprise-wide risk management are converging with market forces to provide a unique call to action for financial institutions to pursue strategies for new services and revenue streams."
The program brings together key industry players to focus on both the business and technical sides of the issue, offering identifiable solutions for banking, business, and government agencies working toward 2006 year-end compliance with the FFIEC Guidance.
On Tuesday, June 6, the conference will open with Elliott C. McEntee and Steve M. Ellis, Executive Vice President, Wells Fargo, and Chairman of the NACHA Board of Directors, offering strategic insights into the opportunities afforded financial institutions by the authentication mandate. Additional sessions examine critical issues such as available and emerging risk assessment tools, enhanced browser security, and strategies and solutions implemented by top financial institution decision-makers as they work toward year-end compliance.
The second day of the conference will offer two concurrent streams. One delves into implementation issues, while the second explores the business opportunities presented by the authentication mandate.
