Hong Kong's Government Smart ID Cards Secure Online Banking

Marisa Torrieri reports for CR80News on how in Hong Kong government-issued IDs are flourishing as private-sector security tokens for online banking access.

In addition to being used for government immigration purposes, the SmartID card can carry an e-Cert issued by the Hong Kong Post that provides the online banking access. See also the SmartID web site.
