Some Consumers Still Uncomfortable With Online Banking

The Conference Board has released some new results from its Consumer Internet Barometer which found that nearly 52 percent of online consumers are extremely concerned about security when banking online, although the level of concerned consumers has fallen from 62 percent in 2004.

NACHA To Test Bank-Provided Online Authentication, Private Payments

NACHA has announced that its board of directors has approved conducting a pilot to test online transactions in which consumers would be authenticated by their own financial institutions, and initiate private, secure electronic payments for consumers' online funds transfers, bill payments, and purchases via their financial institutions' online banking web sites .
