Who We're Watching: Garanti Bank
From time to time, we at Glenbrook come across companies doing new things we think are pretty cool. When we do, we'll profile them in this new "Who We're Watching" section here on Payments News.
This morning, Glenbrook's Russ Jones writes about his latest discovery: Garanti Bank in Turkey.
Product and services personalization is one of the big over-arching themes for the decade. Here's a great example from Turkey of a local bank (Garanti Bank) that is now offering a Visa card (called the Flexi Card) that lets the consumer adjust their interest rate, bonus rate, reward type, and annual fees based on personal preferences.
In addition to customizing card features, consumers can also design their own card look and feel from a collection of standard templates and clip art. Or they can upload their own digital photos.
A bank product description of the new card offering (in English) is available online. If you can read Turkish, check out the consumer-facing web site too.
Pretty cool.
