MULTOS Smart Card OS Gets New Owners, Mission

CR80News reports on StepNexus, the new holding company responsible for the development of the MULTOS smart card operating system.

“STEP” is an acronym for Secure Trusted Environment Provisioning and “‘Nexus’ refers to the Trust Centre that provides the key management for Secure Trusted Environment Platforms such as MULTOS smart cards and other new environments that will be announced in the near future,” according Tim France-Massey, MULTOS’ VP Smart Card Marketing & Business Development.
Separately, StepNexus has announced the acquisition of Hive Minded, the company that created and licenses Nectar(TM) smart card .NET technology based on Microsoft .NET.
