GE Consumer Finance Readies China Launch
Tony Munroe reports for Reuters on comments by David Nissen, chief executive of GE Consumer Finance, regarding opportunities in China that it's pursuing in partnership with Shenzhen Development Bank .
"We are very focused on helping Shenzhen to grow consumer financing in credit cards, in auto, and perhaps eventually in mortgages. We are very interested in rapidly developing distribution and new products across China," he said. Shenzhen Bank has a nationwide banking licence, and Nissen said GE Consumer Finance, aims to grow its China business exclusively through its partnership with Shenzhen Bank, which still needs final regulatory approval.
