USPS Selects BA Merchant Services
BA Merchant Services has announced a new contract with the United States Postal Service to provide credit card processing and settlement services for more than 34,000 sites, including post offices, automated postal centers and the online postal store at USPS.com.
Services are expected to begin in March of 2006. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.BA Merchant Services is the nation's second-largest bankcard merchant acquirer, processing nearly $350 billion in annual credit card volume. The organization processes approximately one out of every five Visa and MasterCard transactions in the United States, serving approximately 530,000 merchant relationships at over 850,000 locations.
