UK: BlueCorner Teen Card "A Really Terrible Product"
Lisa Bachelor writes an opinion piece for the UK's Sunday Observer newspaper about a teen prepaid Maestro spending card that BlueCorner introduced last week.
She calls the card a "really terrible product" but not because of any concerns about teens getting hooked on spending with plastic. Rather, she points to the fees BlueCorner is charging to buy, load, and, in some cases, to use the card.
"But would you sign up to a bank account if you had to pay to open it, pay to put money in and take it out and then never earn any interest?"
