EmigrantDirect Launches Cash Back Platinum MasterCard
EmigrantDirect has officially announced its add-on cash back credit card intended for customers of its American Dream high yield savings account.
The card pays back every six months at an annual rate of 1.25% of purchases to savings account holders who maintain a $10,000 minimum balance.
"We studied the market carefully to be certain we were offering our customers compelling value. We found that no one exceeded one percent cashback, although there are a few gimmicks for cards that offer more on certain, restricted purchases or with complicated formulas," said Howard P. Milstein, Chairman and CEO of Emigrant Bank and EmigrantDirect."Last year we launched EmigrantDirect.com with America's highest interest rate, and now we are kicking off 2006 by giving our depositors the best cash-back card without restrictions in the country that will help them increase their savings even more."
The party is over! This card reward had gone up to 1.4% cash back on ALL purchases (UNLIMITED) as long as you maintained $10,000 in your Emigrant Direct Savings account.
I just got a new card in the mail called the Emigrant Direct World Elite card. The mailing said my old Emigrant Direct Platinum card would cease to work as of 5/15/2008.
The new cash back deal is 1.5% on the first $10,000. Then 0% cash back going forward. I nice shaft job!
