TextPayMe Announces SMS-based Money Transfer
Earlier this month, TextPayMe announced a new text messaging-based service for sending money using mobile phones. The company says it supports deposits from electronic bank transfers or credit cards and supports withdrawals via wire transfer or mailed checks.
TextPayMe is an innovative service that allows users to send money using text messaging. Users can send a payment simply by entering the recipient's cell phone number or alias and the amount they wish to send. The transaction is instantaneous.
TextPayMe revolutionalized the mobile payment industry by developing a secure solution that works with virtually all mobile phones across all major carriers in the United States. Users do not have to install any applications to start using TextPayMe.
Prior to TextPayMe, there was no easy and secure way for users to purchase items from the local classified listings marketplace. Users are increasingly reluctant to use checks to purchase items from strangers for fears of identity theft. Carrying a large amount of cash is equally inconvenient. With TextPayMe, users can make a payment using nothing but their cell phone.
TextPayMe, Inc, was founded in 2005, is privately held, and is located in Redmond, WA. TextPayMe patent pending solution allows users to send and receive money securely through any text message capable phones without installing any applications. TextPayMe is currently available in public beta for all mobile phone users in the United States.
