Visa to Spin Off European Division
Jane Croft reports in the Financial Times about Visa Europe becoming a separate organization.
Hans van der Velde, president and chief executive of Visa Europe, said: "It is a key step forward in enabling Visa to be more responsive to our members. This incorporation will establish us as a truly European company able to better provide European solutions for all means of payment in a global context. Member banks will be empowered to respond more quickly to European specific initiatives and market opportunities as well as develop unique regional products and services."
